In May 2025, there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Papua Barat Daya Province of 0.36 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.05. The highest inflation occurred in Sorong SelatanRegency at 2.17 percent with a CPI of 110.61 and the lowest inflation occurred in Sorong Regency at 0.08 percent with a CPI of 104.95.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: clothing and footwear group by 2.00 percent; household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance group by 0.91 percent; health group by 3.29 percent; transportation group by 2.37 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 1.56 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.07 percent; and personal care and other services group by 3.03 percent. 

In May 2025, the Province of Papua Barat Daya experienced month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.04 percent and year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation of 0.28 percent.
