January 2025 Year on Year (y-on-y) Inflation for Papua Barat Daya Province is 0.36 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Sorong Selatan Regency at 0.91 percent.

In January 2025, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Papua Barat Daya Province of 0.36 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 103.92. The highest inflation occurred in South Sorong Regency at 0.91 percent with a CPI of 108.10 and the deepest deflation occurred in Sorong Regency at 0.59 percent with a CPI of 102.64.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.58 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.93 percent; health group at 0.71 percent; transportation group by 2.99 percent;  recreation, sports and culture group at 1.16 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.42 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.05 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index included the clothing and footwear group by 3.45 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 8.75 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.30 percent; and the education group is 0.20 percent.

Papua Barat Daya Province in January 2025 experienced month to month (m-to-m) deflation of 1.36 percent and year to date (y-to-d) deflation of 1.36 percent.
