In April 2025, there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Papua Barat Daya Province of 0.41 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.01. The highest inflation occurred in Sorong Selatan Regency at 2.12 percent with a CPI of 110.28 and the lowest inflation occurred in Sorong City at 0.12 percent with a CPI of 104.45.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 0.22 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.13 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.64 percent; health group by 3.23 percent; transportation group by 0.89 percent; recreation, sports and culture group by 1.97 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.00 percent; and personal care and other services group by 3.07 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in index included clothing and footwear group by 3.19 percent; information, communication and financial services group by 0.93 percent; and education group by 0.02 percent.

In April 2025, the Province of Southwest Papua experienced month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.90 percent and year-to-date (y-to-d) deflation of 0.32 percent.
