Abstract

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.80 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 2.82 percent; health group by 2.83 percent; transportation group at 0.94 percent; education group by 1.92 percent; and the food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 6.37 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: clothing and footwear group by 1.53 percent; housing, water, electricity and household materials group at 11.52 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.01 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.06 percent. Meanwhile, the recreation, sports and culture groups did not experience changes.
Month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate in Sorong Selatan Regency in January 2025 amounting to 1.52 percent. The year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate for Sorong Selatan Regency in January 2025 is 1.52 percent.
