In July 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Sorong Regency will be 3.05 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.29.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 7.86 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.12 percent; health group by 1.36 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.59 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.40 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: clothing and footwear group by 0.50 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.81 percent; transportation group by 0.90 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.04 percent. Meanwhile, recreation, sports and culture groups; and education groups did not experience changes.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate for Sorong Regency in July 2024 is 0.09 percent. Meanwhile, the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Sorong Regency in July 2024 is 1.54 percent.
