In August 2024 there will be year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Sorong Selatan Regency amounting to 3.92 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.67

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.99 percent; clothing and footwear group by 2.94 percent; housing, water, electricity and household materials group at 0.04 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 3.96 percent; transportation group by 0.32 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.76 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 9.89 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.83 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: the health group by 0.13 percent; and the information, communications and financial services group at 0.18 percent. Meanwhile, the Education group did not experience any changes.
