August 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation for Papua Barat Daya Province will be 1.66 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Sorong Selatan Regency at 3.92 percent.

The year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate of Papua Barat Province in August 2024 was 2.80 percent with it’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.41. 

Inflation occurred as the prices went up, as indicated by the increase in almost all expenditure groups indices, namely: Food, Beverages and Tobacco Group of 4.60 percent; Clothing And Footwear Group of 0.04 percent;  Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Group of 0.85 percent; Furnishings, Household Equipment, and Routine Household Maintenance Group of 2.00 percent; Transport Group of 2.62 percent; Recreation, Sport and Culture Group of 3.34 percent; Education Services Group of 4.71 percent; Food and Beverages Services/Restaurants Group of 2.73 percent; and Personal Care and Other Services Group of 3.21 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that recorded a deflation were Health Group 0.09 percent and Information, Communication, and Financial Services Group of 0.12 percent. 

The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate of Papua Barat Province in August 2024 were 0.31 percent and 2.97 percent.
