Abstract

In June 2025, there was year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Papua Barat Daya Province of 0.50 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.49. The highest inflation occurred in Sorong Selatan Regency at 2.50 percent with a CPI of 110.81 and the lowest inflation occurred in Sorong Regency at 0.18 percent with a CPI of 105.08.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: clothing and footwear group by 1.84 percent; household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance group by 0.37 percent; health group by 3.32 percent; transportation group by 4.01 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 1.61 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1.97 percent; and personal care and other services group by 3.18 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in index included the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.72 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.05 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.60 percent; and education group by 0.02 percent.
In June 2025, the Province of Papua Barat Daya experienced month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation of 0.42 percent and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation of 0.13 percent.
