Abstract

In December 2024, there will be year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Papua Barat Daya Province of 2.33 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.35. The highest inflation occurred in Sorong Selatan Regency at 3.43 percent with a CPI of 109.77 and the lowest occurred in Sorong Regency at 1.61 percent with a CPI of 104.36.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.44 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.36 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 0.27 percent; health group at 0.51 percent; transportation group at 2.42 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 3.63 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.44 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 2.26 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index included the clothing and footwear group by 3.06 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.01 percent; and the education group was 0.39 percent.
Papua Barat Daya Province in December 2024 experienced month to month (m-to-m) deflation of 0.11 percent and year to date (y-to-d) inflation of 1.87 percent.

In April 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Papua Barat Daya Province will be 2.45 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Sorong Regency at 4.12 percent
