Abstract

In November 2024, there will be year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Southwest Papua Province of 2.33 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.47. The highest inflation occurred in South Sorong Regency at 4.34 percent with a CPI of 109.24 and the lowest occurred in Sorong Regency at 2.04 percent with a CPI of 103.94.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.22 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.38 percent; health group at 0.63 percent; transportation group by 3.70 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 3.69 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.29 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.03 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index included the clothing and footwear group by 2.67 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.24 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.01 percent; and the education group was 0.39 percent.
Southwest Papua Province in November 2024 experienced month to month (m-to-m) deflation of 0.04 percent and year to date (y-to-d) inflation of 1.98 percent.
