Abstract

In October 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Sorong Regency will be 3.22 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.24.

Y-on-y inflation occurs due to an increase in prices as indicated by rising prices expenditure group index, namely: food, beverage and tobacco groups by 9.03 percent; housing, water, electricity and home fuel groups stairs by 0.13 percent; health group at 3.27 percent; group education by 0.69 percent; and the food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.41 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: clothing and footwear group by 0.66 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group amounting to 6.77 percent; transportation group by 1.51 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.01 percent; sports and cultural recreation group at 0.18 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.44 percent.

Month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for Sorong Regency in October 2024 by 0.25 percent. Meanwhile, the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Sorong Regency in September 2024 is 1.49 percent.
