Abstract

In September 2024, Sorong Selatan Regency year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation will be 4.13 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.72.

Y-on-y inflation occurs due to an increase in prices as indicated by rising pricesexpenditure group index, namely: food, beverage and tobacco groups by 6.45 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.43 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 3.91 percent; health group by 1.49 percent; transportation group by 0.18 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.76 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 10.90 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 4.08 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: housing, water, electricity and household materials by 0.05 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.19 percent; and the education group was 1.66 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for Sorong Selatan Regency in Oktober 2024 is 0.16 percent. The year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Sorong Selatan Regency in September 2024 is 2.44 percent.
