Abstract

In December 2024 there will be year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Sorong Selatan Regency amounting to 3.43 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 109.77
Y-on-y inflation occurs due to an increase in prices as indicated by rising prices expenditure group index, namely: food, beverage and tobacco groups by 4.84 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.13 percent; housing, water, electricity and household materials group at 2.49 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 4.27 percent; health group by 2.55 percent; transportation group by 0.16 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.43 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 9.28 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 1.99 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: the information, communication and financial services group by 0.09 percent; and the education group was 1.66 percent.
Sorong Selatan Regency month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate in December 2024 of 0.49 percent. The year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Sorong Selatan Regency in December 2024 is 3.43 percent.
