Abstract

The year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate of Papua Barat Province in December 2024 was 2.53 percent with it’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.94.
Inflation occurred as the prices went up, as indicated by the increase in almost all expenditure groups indices, namely: Food, Beverages and Tobacco Group of 7.33 percent Housing, Water, Electricity, and Household Fuel Group of 0.53 percent; Furnishings, Household Equipment, and Routine Household Maintenance Group of 2.20 percent; Education Services Group of 4.54 percent; Food and Beverages Services/Restaurants Group of 0.85 percent; and Personal Care and Other Services Group of 3.24 percent. Meanwhile, expenditure groups that recorded a deflation were ; Clothing And Footwear Group of 0.02 percent; Health Group 0.10 percent; Transport Group of 4.75 percent; and Information, Communication, and Financial Services Group of 0.05 percent. Meanwhile, the groups that did not experience changes in the index were Recreation, Sport and Culture Group.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate of Papua Barat Province in December 2024 were 0.34 percent and 2.53 percent.
