Abstract

Papua Barat economy in quarter I-2024 based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached Rp 24,844.09 billion and at constant prices in 2010 reached Rp 16,392.55 billion.

Papua Barat economy in quarter I-2024 compared to quarter IV-2023 economy experienced a contraction of 1.99 percent (q-to-q). By industry, the deepest contraction occurred in the Construction at 7.04 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, the Government Consumption Expenditure Component (PK-P) experienced the deepest contraction of 38.13 percent.

Papua Barat economy in quarter I-2024 compared to quarter I-2023 experienced growth of 2.27 percent (y-on-y). By industry, Public Administration & Defense; Compulsory Social Security experienced the highest growth of 16.87 percent. In terms of expenditure, the Consumption Expenditure Component of Non-Profit Institutions that serve Households (PKLNPRT) experienced the highest growth of 24.84 percent.
