Agriculture plays a vital role in Indonesia's economic development and food security. More than half of Indonesia's population work in agricultural sector. The changes and challenges faced by this sub-sector will have a significant impact on national welfare. This publication entitled Agricultural Potential of Papua Barat Daya, Potrait of Agriculture in New Province of Cendrawasih Island is presented amidst efforts to build a more resilient, adaptive, and sustainable agricultural system, with the hope that it will bring progress to the nation. This book delves deeper into the opportunities and challenges faced by the agricultural sub-sector such plantations, fisheries, and forestry using data from the 2023 Agricultural Census and other relevant sources.
