Abstract

In June 2025, the year-on-year (y-o-y) inflation in Sorong Regency was 0.76 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104,99.
Year-on-year inflation occurred due to price increases reflected in the rising indices of several expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages, and tobacco by 1.11 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel by 0.75 percent; health by 0.43 percent; transportation by 0.41 percent; recreation, sports, and culture by 3.02 percent; education by 0.69 percent; food and beverage provision/restaurants by 0.89 percent; and personal care and other services by 5.73 percent. Meanwhile, several expenditure groups experienced a decline in their indices, namely: clothing and footwear by 0.58 percent; household equipment, appliances, and routine household maintenance by 5.83 percent; and information, communication, and financial services by 0.04 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate for Sorong Regency in June 2025 was 0.04 percent. Meanwhile, the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Sorong Regency in June 2025 was 0,60 percent.
