Abstract

In September 2024, the poverty rate in Papua Barat Daya was 16,95 percent, decreasing 1,18 percentage points compared to March 2024.
In September 2024, 96,81 thousand individuals in Papua Barat Daya lived in poverty, a decrease of 5,46 thousand people compared to March 2024.
In the context of urban/rural areas, the urban area has a poverty rate of 8,03 percent. In contrast, the poverty rate in rural areas is 25,90 percent.
In September 2024, the urban area had 22,96 thousand poor people, while the rural area had 73,85 thousand poor people.
As of September 2024, the poverty line in Papua Barat Daya is Rp791.570 per capita per month, with food poverty lines at Rp580.705 (73,36 percent) and non-food poverty lines Rp210.865 (26,64 percent).
In September 2024, the average number of household members in impoverished households was 4,78. In other terms, the average monthly poverty line for each household in Papua Barat Daya is Rp3.783.705,00.-
