Abstract

In March 2024, the poverty rate in Papua Barat is 21.66%.
In March 2024, 110.16 thousand individuals in Papua Barat lived in poverty.
In the context of urban/rural areas, the urban area has a poverty rate of 8.17 percent. In contrast, the poverty rate in rural areas is 27.88 percent.
In March 2024, the urban area had 12.82 thousand poor people, while the rural area had 97.34 thousand poor people.
As of March 2024, the poverty line in Papua Barat is Rp793,804.00 per capita per month, with food poverty and non-food poverty lines at Rp591,923.00 (74.57 percent) and Rp201.881.00 (25.43 percent), respectively.
In March 2024, the average number of household members in impoverished households was 5.87. In other terms, the average monthly poverty line for each household in Papua Barat is Rp4,659,629.00.
