Abstract

In June 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Sorong Regency will be 2.50 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.20.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the expenditure group index, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.57 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.12 percent; health group at 1.42 percent; and the food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.59 percent.

Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: clothing and footwear group by 0.56 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 2.00 percent; transportation group by 0.37 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.04 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 0.87 percent. Meanwhile, recreation, sports and culture groups; and education groups did not change.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate for Sorong Regency in June 2024 is 0.64 percent. Meanwhile, the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Sorong Regency in June 2024 is 1.45 percent.
